Due to heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Ditwah, water inflow into reservoirs has risen. The surplus water released from Puzhal Lake has been increased from 1,000 to 1,500 cusecs. With further rain expected, residents living along the surplus water canal have been advised to stay cautious.
