The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in a few parts of Tamil Nadu today, especially in Chennai. Thunderstorms with lightning are likely in some areas of the city. Light to moderate rain is expected in Chennai, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvallur districts until around 10 a.m.
