Gold prices in Chennai have recently declined after reaching a record high of ₹97,600 per sovereign. Experts, including Jayantilal Shalani of the Madras Jewellers Association, say the drop is temporary and prices may rise again due to global economic factors, including dollar weakness, oil fluctuations, and Federal Reserve decisions.
