As the Diwali festival rush intensifies, over 51,000 passengers were caught travelling without tickets on Chennai trains in the last 15 days. Southern Railway officials have collected ₹2.86 crore in fines and deployed 350 additional Railway Protection Force personnel across major stations like Central, Egmore, and Tambaram to control the crowd and ensure passenger safety.
