Chennai Rain: The Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that a deep depression has formed over the Bay of Bengal, and as a result, heavy rains are expected to lash various parts of Tamil Nadu over the next seven days. This comes after earlier forecasts indicated that the northeast monsoon in Tamil Nadu would be above normal this year.
