The Meteorological Department has predicted that the northeast monsoon will begin in the 2nd week of October. Due to this, the Tamil Nadu government has intensified precautionary measures for the monsoon. Therefore, it has planned to speed up road works before the rains. Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu government has ordered that the road works should be completed by 15th of next month.
