People who had gone to their hometowns for the Pongal festival have started returning to Chennai after celebrating the festival. Due to the arrival of passengers at the same time, there was a heavy traffic jam on Singapperumal Road. As vehicles were lined up for a distance of 3 km, passengers and motorists faced a lot of difficulties.
