Karnataka deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has said that the basic work for the construction of dams in Meghadatu has begun. He said that the agricultural land in Karnataka has increased by 6% and steps have been taken to irrigate the area with the surplus water received from the Kabini Dam.
