Actress Trisha, who has a special love for animals, has donated a mechanical elephant to the Vinayagar temple in Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar. Actress Trisha and a volunteer organization have jointly donated a mechanical elephant worth Rs. 6 lakhs to the temple. This mechanical elephant is as huge as a real elephant at 3 meters tall and 800 kg in weight. This elephant has been named Gaja.
