The DMK has filed a counter petition in the Supreme Court today in the case against the Waqf Act brought under the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. In its petition, the DMK urged the court to reject the Centre’s arguments in support of the Waqf Act and called for the Act to be struck down. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the case against the Waqf Act tomorrow.
