TVK Government has announced that November 1st—the date in 1956 when Tamil Nadu was formed—will be celebrated annually as ‘Tamil Nadu Day’. Given that the AIADMK and DMK hold differing positions on the date for ‘Tamil Nadu Day’ (advocating for November 1st and July 18th, respectively), the TVK has decided to recognize both dates as ‘Tamil Nadu Day’.
