Deeply frustrated by ‘Operation Sindhur’, Pakistan banned Indian aircraft from using its airspace. Consequently, flights traveling from Delhi and Mumbai to destinations in Europe and North America were forced to take longer, circuitous routes. India has now adopted an alternative strategy to address this issue.
