Yesterday, the midday meal served in government schools across several districts in Tamil Nadu—including Trichy, Tirunelveli, Salem, Karur, Sivaganga, Erode, and Nagapattinam—was provided without eggs. It is reported that this is the first time such an incident has occurred in the history of the nutritious meal scheme.
