Dharapuram by election is set to be held October 6. During raids conducted today, Rs.48.42 lakh was seized from one location and Rs.7.63 lakh from another; the cash had been stashed away without proper documentation. An investigation is underway to determine whether this money was being hoarded for distribution to voters.
