Yellow alert: Tamil Nadu did not receive the expected amount of rainfall during this year’s Southwest Monsoon. Against this backdrop, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has warned that widespread rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in 11 districts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, over the next two hours.
