In a weather update released today, ‘Delta Weatherman’ Hemachandar stated, “A new low-pressure area is forming. Convective thunderstorms will intensify. A new low-pressure area is likely to develop over the central-eastern Bay of Bengal within the next 48 hours. Before this system strengthens into a cyclone, it will intensify nighttime convective rainfall across Tamil Nadu.”
