Election Commission of India has recognized the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as a recognized state party in Tamil Nadu. The Commission has granted this status to TVK, making it the seventh state party in Tamil Nadu, following the DMK, AIADMK, DMDK, VCK, the Communist Party of India, and the Naam Tamilar Katchi.
