The Central Government, led by Prime Minister Modi, has approved four railway line projects: the Arakkonam–Renigunta 3rd and 4th lines, the Hosur–Omalur double line, and the Salem–Karur–Dindigul double line. This approval is set to bring about a massive transformation in railway services across Tamil Nadu.
