3 Tamils were shot dead in an encounter in forest area of the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary in the Hanur region of Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar district. Police resorted to a lathi-charge after relatives staged a protest, refusing to accept the bodies of the deceased.
