Protests against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu have been ongoing in Karnataka. Amidst this, a major stir has been caused by farmers from Mandya who, alleging that water was being secretly released to Tamil Nadu, staged a protest by repeatedly jumping into the Cauvery River.
