DMK: The DMK had approached the Supreme Court to oppose Chief Minister Vijay’s visit to Karur and to contest the remarks made by ministers regarding the Karur issue. However, the court hearing the case subjected the petitioner to a barrage of questions. Following this, the petition filed by the DMK was withdrawn. This marks the first legal setback for the DMK against the TVK.
