The Tamil Nadu government has issued strict instructions to all District Collectors to expedite land acquisition for 15 major new railway projects worth ₹22,808 crore spanning 1,700 km. With 75% of the required 4,326 hectares still pending, the order aims to resolve long delays affecting key routes including Madurai-Tuticorin and Chennai-Puducherry corridors.
