Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) for Law and Order in Tamil Nadu; however, he has not yet assumed charge. Against this backdrop, Sandeep Rai Rathore—the incumbent DGP who was appointed to the post by the Election Commission—has met with Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan in Delhi and is now scheduled to meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
