Cauvery: Strong opposition has arisen following Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s announcement that he intends to submit a new, comprehensive plan to the Central Government for the construction of a dam at Mekedatu. In light of this, Tamil Nadu Congress MP Manickam Tagore has condemned Shivakumar, asserting that the Cauvery is not a political weapon.
