The Union Govt. today firmly stated in Parliament, citing a new report from the Central Pollution Control Board, that the waters of the Ganga River are suitable for devotees to take a holy dip. Notably, it was the same Central Pollution Control Board that had previously submitted a report to the National Green Tribunal stating that the Ganga River was polluted during the Kumbh Mela.
