Heavy Rain: A low-pressure area prevailing over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal has triggered widespread rainfall across Tamil Nadu. The weather department has issued a late-night alert predicting heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in 12 districts till 10 PM.
