PM Modi urged the public to reduce their consumption of cooking oil in order to minimize foreign exchange expenditure. Following this, the prices of all cooking oil brands in Karnataka have plummeted sharply, dropping by Rs. 3 to Rs. 5 per liter. Conversely, the price of rice has skyrocketed.
