M. K. Stalin is reportedly unhappy with Indian National Congress for allegedly extending support to Vijay while remaining part of the DMK alliance. Sources claim Stalin is particularly upset that, despite securing five MLA seats through the alliance, Congress leaders have not formally met or thanked the DMK leadership, adding fresh tension to alliance politics in Tamil Nadu.
