In Tamil Nadu, the DMK failed to win even a single constituency across nine districts, including Dharmapuri, Erode, Namakkal, Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Sivaganga, Vellore, Ranipet, and Chengalpattu. In most of these constituencies, the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam emerged victorious, while parties such as the AIADMK and PMK secured wins in a few places.
