Since yesterday morning, a large number of people have been traveling from Chennai towards their hometowns in private vehicles—including cars and motorcycles—in order to cast their votes. After 6:00 PM, many of those traveling in private vehicles encountered severe traffic congestion stretching from Singaperumal Koil, Chengalpattu and all the way to Villupuram.
