In the Sathankulam father-son custodial death case, the Central government has filed a petition in the Madurai court seeking maximum punishment for the nine police officials currently in prison. In its email response submission, the government emphasized that there should be no mercy or bias shown toward the accused, stressing the need for strict justice in the case.
