The Chennai Central Crime Branch police arrested prominent Udiyapur Savukku Shankar and lodged him in Puzhal jail on charges of publishing false information about a case being investigated by the Land Grabbing Prevention Unit. Savukku Shankar has been released from jail after the Madras High Court granted him bail in this case.
