In the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, 27 constituencies have been allotted to the BJP as part of the AIADMK alliance. Theses 27 seats, the BJP possesses strong organizational infrastructure in only nine constituencies; in the remaining 18, the AIADMK has effectively pitted the BJP directly against the DMK and their alliance parties.
