Chennai High Court has categorically stated that the scheme for the buyback of empty liquor bottles in Tamil Nadu must be fully implemented by May 31. It further warned that, in the event of a failure to implement this, an order would be issued to collect an environmental damage compensation of ₹10 for every bottle sold thereafter from the TASMAC administration.
