Kaliyammal was a prominent orator within the NTK. Following her departure from the NTK, she joined the AIADMK today in the presence of Edappadi Palaniswami. Kaliyammal had previously contested on behalf of the NTK in the 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as well as the 2021 Assembly elections, securing a significant number of votes.
