Chennai High Court has ruled that the Hindu Makkal Katchi is not permitted to conduct rallies or processions in Chennai; however, the party has been authorized to hold a conference within the indoor auditorium at the Chennai YMCA grounds. This order was issued by the Madras High Court in a petition filed by the Hindu Makkal Katchi challenging the denial of permission for a rally.
