Supreme Court has closed the contempt of court proceedings against the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu regarding the appointment of DGP.Tamil Nadu government submitted a response stating that the list of eligible officers had already been forwarded to the UPSC. The UPSC, in turn, informed the Court that a selection committee meeting is scheduled for the 20th of this month to review the list.
