The Joint Committee of the National Assembly has approved the Waqf Act Amendment Bill. The Joint Committee of the Parliament has approved the bill with 14 amendments. All the suggestions made by the opposition members have been rejected. The bill includes features such as mandatory registration of Waqf Board lands with the District Collector’s Office.
