The Chennai Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds (40 to 50 kmph) is likely to occur at various places in Tamil Nadu today, with heavy rain expected in four districts, including the Nilgiris, Coimbatore and Dindigul. The Meteorological Department has also said that there is a possibility of light rain in Chennai today.
