The low-pressure area over Malacca and Jalasandhi has strengthened into a low-pressure system, according to the Meteorological Department. It is expected to further intensify into a cyclone by the 26th. Similarly, another low-pressure system is likely to form near Sri Lanka within the next 48 hours, which may also develop into a cyclone.
