DMK – CPI Alliance: Following intense negotiations, the Communist Party of India (CPI) agreed to contest five constituencies as part of the DMK alliance. The CPI has now submitted its list of preferred constituencies to the DMK. However, as this list targets seats currently held by the VCK, the Congress, and the DMK itself, it presents yet another challenge for Chief Minister Stalin.
