Due to continuous heavy rainfall in Karnataka’s Cauvery catchment areas such as Talakaveri, Bhagamandala, Madikeri, and Mysuru, the water level in the Cauvery River has surged. As a result, more than 47,000 cusecs (cubic feet per second) of water are being released to Tamil Nadu. This has significantly increased the inflow, offering relief to the state’s agricultural and water needs.
