Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that efforts are underway among BRICS nations to conduct trade in their own national currencies, and that such transactions between India and Russia are expected to begin soon. He made this remark two days ago at the meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Foreign Ministers, which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
