TN CM Stalin appointed 12 special monitoring officers for districts under red and orange monsoon alerts. The officers will coordinate with district collectors and SPs to oversee flood relief and basic facilities amid heavy rains caused by an intensifying northeast monsoon and a deepening low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
