A low pressure area formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify within the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department. As a result, rainfall is likely to begin across Tamil Nadu from tomorrow and continue until the 24th. Thunderstorms with lightning are also expected in parts of the state the following day.
