A ship going from Thiruvananthapuram Vizhinjam port to Kochi sank in the sea. The containers on the ship also sank in the sea. Currently, the sunken containers are washing up near the Palakkad beach. The public has been advised not to touch them and to inform the authorities if the containers wash up. Similarly, National Disaster Response Force teams from Nellai and Arakkonam have rushed to Kochi
