India-Bangladesh relations have been strained since the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, has said that there is no other option but to move towards reconciliation with India, which has been following a confrontational course. He also said that he will meet Indian Prime Minister Modi during the BIMSTEC summit in Thailand next month.
