Sources indicate that the Communist Party of India (Marxist), a key ally in the DMK-led alliance, is planning to demand a higher number of assembly seats in the upcoming elections. It is also reported that the party has prepared a tentative list of 15 constituencies where it intends to stake its claim during seat-sharing talks.
