District Women’s Court has sentenced Lalitha (35), an anganwadi worker, to 54 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 18,000 for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 10th std student in Tiruvarur. The court has ordered the government to pay Rs. 6 lakh as compensation to the victim boy.
