A new low-pressure area is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal near Sri Lanka around the 10th. Weather experts say Tamil Nadu may receive widespread rain on the 10th, 11th and 12th. Cold conditions may reduce as rain increases, especially over coastal and western ghats districts.
